JAN 07-09, 2025 - Bali, Indonesia 2025 IEEE IDEAS 2025 IEEE International Decentralized Energy Access Solutions(IDEAS) Conference Bali, Indonesia, January 7-9, 2025 Decentralized energy is not solely relevant to those living in extreme energy poverty in Africa or South Asia. While nearly one billion people living off-grid without access to electricity are a primary focus, numerous other communities face similar technological challenges. Recognizing this common thread, the IEEE Power Electronics Society launched the Empower a Billion Lives (EBL) global competition and established a new Technical Committee (TC-12) to concentrate on energy access through decentralized solutions. TC-12 will host the IEEE International Decentralized Energy Solutions (IDEAS) Conference in Bali, Indonesia, on January 7 – 9, 2025. IDEAS will serve as a platform for technologists and practitioners in the energy access field, featuring technical presentations, special sessions, and the Global Energy Access Forum (GEAF) for crosscutting discussions on energy access challenges and opportunities. Additionally, IDEAS will serve as the venue for planning and pre-launch events for the EBL2025 competition.  |
