FEB 07-08, 2024 - Amsterdam, Netherlands Floating Solar in Europe 2024 Floating solar is rapidly gaining momentum across Europe owing to the increasing concerns around the availability of land. Plenty of sunshine in the south means floating solar is already a well-established market there. Meanwhile, the north has also witnessed large projects in recent months owing to abundant water bodies. Synergies with hydropower or thermal power or even offshore wind projects, especially for optimum utilisation of transmission infrastructure, make floating solar an attractive proposition for the continent. Shorter gestation timelines when compared to traditional ground-mounted systems and increasing cost-competitiveness make the case stronger for this technology. In this context, REGlobal is organising a conference on Floating Solar in Europe on February 7-8, 2024 at Novotel Amsterdam City, The Netherlands. The mission of the conference is to highlight growth trends, opportunities, technologies, design considerations, O&M issues, investment landscape, challenges, and outlook for the floating solar sector in Europe. The one-and-a-half day event will provide a platform to discuss the opportunities and the way forward to tap the continent`s large floating solar market. It will feature insightful presentations and interactive panel discussions focusing on potential and outlook, policy and regulatory environment, technology advancements, developers` plans, the potential for hybrids, implementation and maintenance issues, investors` perspective, grid considerations and case studies. The conference will bring together policymakers, regulators, solar power developers, utilities, technology providers, floating platform manufacturers, and industry experts to present their perspectives on advancing the region’s floating solar market. ![]() |
