ICAPP 2025 special focus on Innovations to triple nuclear capacity. At COP28 in Dubai, more than 20 heads of governments pledged to triple nuclear capacity by 2050. Achieving this goal will require a combination of the long-term operation of existing reactors, the construction of large reactors and the development of SMRs including advanced technologies for new applications.
