12.05.2026 - DerMag Consulting Serbia - Senior Electrical Engineer – Protection, Senior Power System Planning Engineer DerMag Consulting Serbia Senior Electrical Engineer – Protection (Transmission & Distribution) 📍 Serbia (Fully Remote) DerMag Consulting is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Protection (Transmission & Distribution) with strong expertise in power system protection to join our growing international team. You will work on high-impact projects for North American utilities, alongside a team of top-tier experts in OT systems, grid operations, and applied research. What you`ll do: Develop and review protection settings for transmission and distribution systems Perform protection coordination and selectivity studies Conduct short circuit and fault analysis to support protection design Perform sensitivity and reach analysis for distance, overcurrent, and differential protection schemes Support relay testing, validation, and commissioning activities Analyze misoperations and propose corrective actions Collaborate with utility protection and operations teams Requirements: 7+ years of experience in power system protection (T&D) Strong hands-on experience with ASPEN OneLiner (mandatory or highly preferred) Experience with PSSE for fault studies and system modeling Experience with ETAP or DIgSILENT PowerFactory is a plus Experience with RTDS and/or real-time simulation environments is a strong plus Hands-on experience with relay testing tools (OMICRON, Doble) is highly preferred Experience with SEL AcSELerator QuickSet / SEL-5030, GE Enervista, or similar relay configuration tools Solid understanding of protection schemes: overcurrent, distance, differential, breaker failure, reclosing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good English communication skills What we offer: Fully remote work from Serbia Projects with leading North American utilities Very competitive salary Opportunity to work on complex, real-world protection challenges 📩 Send your CV to: office@dermagconsulting.com Senior Power System Planning Engineer (Transmission & Distribution) 📍 Serbia (Fully Remote) 🏢 DerMag Consulting DerMag Consulting is looking for a Senior Power System Planning Engineer (Transmission & Distribution) with strong expertise in power system studies for transmission and distribution networks to join our growing international team. You will work on high-impact projects for North American utilities, alongside a team of top-tier experts in OT systems, grid operations, and applied research.
